Frequently Asked Questions
Services, Certification & EU Projects
Learn more about Unicis consulting and certification services, and our participation in European research and innovation initiatives.
Certification
Can Unicis certify our organization?
Yes. Unicis.Tech is an Authorized Business Franchise Partner of B-ADVANCY Certification UK Ltd. for the European Union region, so implementation, advisory, audit, and the certificate itself run through one partner. See the Certification page for the full scope.
Which standards can we certify against?
Management system certification covers ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 9001, ISO/IEC 14001, ISO/IEC 45001, ISO/IEC 20000-1, ISO/IEC 22000, ISO/IEC 21001, ISO/IEC 37001, ISO/IEC 13485, ISO/IEC 28000, ISO/IEC 50001, and ISO/IEC 14064-1. Attestations and regulatory assessments cover SOC 2 Type II, HACCP, HIPAA, and GDPR.
Who issues the certificate?
B-ADVANCY Certification UK Ltd. is the certification body and issues every certificate. Unicis delivers the platform and the advisory work, and represents B-ADVANCY in the EU region. Contract review, selection and approval of auditors, and the certification decision itself are carried out by B-ADVANCY head office in the United Kingdom — they are not delegated to Unicis. B-ADVANCY operates in accordance with ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015 and holds accreditation from ASIB, EGAC, and BAB — see their accreditation page.
Can Unicis both advise us and audit us?
The two roles are separated by contract. Unicis provides implementation and advisory services and represents B-ADVANCY in the EU region; B-ADVANCY selects and approves the auditors, performs contract review, and makes the certification decision from its UK head office. Our partnership agreement requires that impartiality is maintained with no conflict of interest, as required by ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015, and accreditation requirements override the agreement wherever they conflict.
Do we need Unicis Platform to get certified?
No. The platform makes evidence and the surveillance cycle far easier to maintain, and it is where most of our clients run their management system, but certification does not depend on it.
How long does certification take, and what does it cost?
Both depend on the standard, your scope, the number of sites, and how much of the management system already exists. We give you a realistic timeline and a fixed proposal after the gap analysis. Send us your scope to start.
We already hold an ISO certificate. Can you take it over?
Yes. Transfers of an existing certificate are handled case by case, and surveillance or recertification can continue under B-ADVANCY. Send us your current certificate and audit reports and we will confirm what is possible.
