Who issues the certificate?
B-ADVANCY Certification UK Ltd. is the certification body and issues every certificate. Unicis.Tech is its Authorized Business Partner for the European Union region, delivering the platform and the advisory work. Contract review, selection and approval of auditors, and the certification decision are carried out by B-ADVANCY’s UK head office and are not delegated to Unicis.
Can Unicis both help us implement and audit us?
The two roles are separated by contract. Unicis provides implementation and advisory services and represents B-ADVANCY in the EU region; B-ADVANCY selects and approves the auditors, performs contract review, and makes the certification decision from its UK head office — none of that is delegated to Unicis. Our partnership agreement requires impartiality with no conflict of interest as required by ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015, and accreditation requirements override the agreement wherever they conflict.
Do we have to use Unicis Platform to get certified?
No. The platform makes the evidence and the surveillance cycle far easier to maintain, and it is where most of our clients run their management system — but certification does not depend on it.
How long does certification take?
It depends on the standard, your scope, and how much of the management system already exists. A startup certifying ISO/IEC 27001 with a narrow scope and a platform already in use moves considerably faster than a first-time, multi-site programme. We will give you a realistic timeline after the gap analysis, not before it.
What does it cost?
Pricing is scoped per engagement — the standard, the number of sites, headcount, and how much advisory work is needed. Get in touch with your scope and we will come back with a fixed proposal.
We already have an ISO certificate. Can you take over?
Yes. Transfers of an existing accredited certificate are handled case by case, and surveillance or recertification can continue under B-ADVANCY. Send us your current certificate and audit reports and we will confirm what is possible.
