Feature Release: Task Management Upgrades, Automation & Workflow Enhancements

This release brings a major upgrade to task management across the platform, introducing automation capabilities, improved visibility, and more flexible workflows. With new ways to generate, organize, and track tasks, teams can now operate more efficiently while maintaining strong alignment with compliance frameworks.

🚀 Major Update: Smarter Task Management

This release significantly expands how tasks are created, structured, and managed across the platform.

Task Import from CSC Controls

You can now generate tasks directly from enabled CSC framework controls using new import templates. This allows teams to quickly operationalize compliance requirements without manual setup.

Additionally, when linking tasks to controls with an unknown status, a new dialog ensures that control status is properly defined, improving consistency and traceability.

Kanban Board & Recurring Tasks

Task management becomes more dynamic with:

• A new Kanban board view for visual workflow management
• Support for recurring tasks, enabling better handling of ongoing processes and periodic reviews

These features help teams stay organized and maintain continuous progress across workloads.

Extended Import & Export Capabilities

We’ve expanded data portability with Import/Export support for RoPA, TIA, PIA, and RM modules, making it easier to manage and share compliance data across systems.

Enhancements & Improvements

This release includes a wide range of improvements to task workflows and overall usability:

• Bulk and per-control task linking to CSC controls across enabled frameworks
  • Includes status propagation from source controls for better alignment
• Task prioritization to better organize and focus work
• Audit logs for task changes, improving accountability and traceability
• Notification team identifier for clearer communication flows
• Improved navigation and linking:
  • PIA/RM links added to dashboard matrix
  • Direct links across RoPA, TIA, PIA, and RM steps
• Emojis in comments for more expressive team collaboration
• Import/Export now supports the OpenDocument standard, increasing compatibility

Fixes

We’ve addressed several issues to improve consistency and usability:

• Fixed visibility of task attachments, now properly limited to the overview tab
• Simplified task interface by hiding the CSC matrix mapping view from the task-level CSC issue panel
